I am currently in the process of creating a script that will allow webmasters to optimize there website for faster load times.
The script will be able to scan the webmasters website and list all graphics that are on the page they specify and next to each graphic will be a compressed graphic of the original. This should allow webmasters to reduce quality of there images without actually noticing the quality loss and therefore reducing the size of each graphic and creating a faster loading webpage.

I will post more later on when i'm nearer to the script completion.

Sounds like a useful script, and I am not trying to ask trade secrets ;) But what compression process will this use? If it uses JPEGs as the originals, this is already a lossey format, so how will the final turn out quality wise?

Alright Josh, looking forward to seeing it. I hope that nothing went wrong since it's been somewhat more than fifteen minutes now.

I am now convinced, and yes I cannot see any difference between the two. That's pretty neat! The savings are pretty high given that there is no loss.

I am confused those Josh, what do you mean software to post to the forum?! My browser is Firefox, but that is the only software my lappy is currently running (bar msn too).

It's okay i've realized why i thought you were using software, it was down to forum statistics reporting how many pages you had previously visited lol.
I thought the figure was just for today.

You really have got me confused Josh. Yes I am a real person, really here and really posting to your forum. I am really engaging in threaded conversation with you. I am not a bot or an automated service and I really have a two year sat in front of me reading a farm book to me.

"I went to the farm and what did I see?" Bless her ;)

If you don't want to mention the name of said software here for fear of attracting spam, then wanna PM me? I really am confused and curious as to what you thought I was doing.

I will admit that when I come here I open up to a couple of dozen tabs all in a row for the new posts. But firefox is as fancy as I get.

Wow that sounds like a REALLY neat tool. It looks like an awesome tool, very useful.

The links you listed of the beach don't work at least the optimized one doesn't.
