i'm not sure personally although if you check the search engines and from my previous experience id say Norton was one of the worst. If the virus's didnt get you norton would soon manage to corrupt or slow your computer down to an unbearable speed.

Although i believe they may have got there act together since then, i have never dared to try it again though.

I've used Norton on and off since the '95 version and can honestly say it is the only thing I trust. I think that this is maybe one of those things where the software you have installed on your machine affects how it runs-software clashes and all that.

Norton is safe, and reliable. AVG on the other hands has left me with spyware and viruses.

it really does come down to user preference at the end of the day and taking in the specifications of your computer also helps as if you have a low spec machine you will require a virus scanner that does not take much cpu usage, likewise if you have a state of the art machine then you would proberly be better off with a bigger virus scanner that protects you better. ;)

I have been using Norton since day one. I like it better than MacAfee, but that isn't saying much. I'd say Norton was good, not great

McAfee is the biggest rip off out there. There was a big corporate scandal about two years ago because McAfee sold immunity to some of the worst offenders for either viruses of spyware-can't recall which. This caused many of the larger computing firms to stop using it.

Norton is a waste. I can't tell you which is the worst but the top antivirus programs are BitDefender, Trend Micro and Kaspersky.

i think its windows defender. It always gets an error while removing something, or it doesn't ACTUALLY remove it although it says it does.

I have used Nortron, Avg, Pctool, McAfee..I think the worst of these all is Nortron. I encountered slow speed of my comp after installing Nortron AV. Pctool and AVG are best.

Agreed with all of you. The worst one is Norton antivirus. Oh sorry who call it to antivirus ? Its also a virus who loads your system memory and make it more heavy . Mcafee is doing the same but the enterprise edition is quite lite.
