I am facing a peculiar problem that my system is producing a whole lot of noice whenever it is switched on for the past few weeks. I understand its from the fan. I am trying to fix it but still waiting for engineers to attend. Any easy solution which I can do on my own and could not spoil the PC.

Hi,

For now just try to make sure that there is plenty of air circulating around the back of the computer. If you have it backed up against a wall, move it out a little. Give it a good clean too. It's very easy for dust to get trapped in and around the machine.

The noise could definitely be caused from the fan. You could open the CPU and clean the fan with a small brush or use a small blower get the dust out of the fan.

I guess the problem is because of the accumulation of dusts inside the CPU fan or because of the over heating of the processor. Its an easy thing to solve this problem by just opening your CPU compartment and clean those CPU fans through a cloth. That would most probably solve your noise problems.

Try using compressed air to blow and clogged dust away and to help prevent it coming back.
Google Compressed Air :)
