Does anyone know how to connect a digital camera to desk top and how to down load pictures. Its a Sony camera and it also has two software CDs to be loaded as well. :(

Firstly upload the software. This should be easy, just follow the on screen instructions when you have inserted the disc.

When you have done that connect your camera to the PC using the USB wire that should have come with it. Turn your camera on and you should them be prompted to open up the photo file from your camera.

Check for the USB port cable given along with your digital camera. When you connect that to your computer and if the computer doesn't recognize the hardware then try installing the disk given along with the software. This is an easy thing to do without any technical qualifications.

When you buy your digital camera, it should come with a USB data cable as well as a CD to install the program or driver. Load the disc and install the software and simply follow the instructions given. One you have installed the software all you need to do is connect the camera to the computer via the USB cable. Or another alternative would be to take out the SD card and put it in your computer's SD drive to extract the photos.
