I'm thinking about getting a wireless card for my Mac so that when I travel, I have internet access everywhere I go. Has anyone tried these before? I'm curious about how installing the necessary items would go with a Mac (instead of a PC).

I would assume that they would come with a software installation disc. It shouldn't be a hard process-if they have an expansion slot it should be as easy as putting the card in-but I don't know if the Macs do that.

Wireless cards are a great way to go. Just install the software that came with your card and you're pretty much ready to go. Makes it so nice, especially when you can't find free wifi spots.

I don't have think I have an expansion slot; I should just ask, I guess, at the Apple Store. I bet they would know the answer. I just know that the ones I have for the PC laptops don't work on my Mac. :(

Wireless connection is not so reliable as cable or ADSL connection. Using modem datacard for my PC, I can hardly upload even a 7k file through Filezilla. But that's OK if you would just use it to check email, update blogs (with textual content) or posting on forums.
