I have a few documents-on paper-that I need to be able to edit on the PC. I don't want to have to type it all up.

Is there any software that I could use to scan it into editable text?

What kind of scanner do you have? My HP printer actually has software built in that scans documents and can save them as Word documents on your computer so you can edit them; I think the program is called HP Photosmart Essential.
